Callers and Music in 2011

Nils Fredland NH, USA
Nils is caller and the fifth member of the band Elixir. Nils started calling in the year 2000, and he is one of the most busy and most wanted callers in the US. Just take a look on his calendar. He has a huge and well varied repertoire, including a lot of singing squares. Many of you will know him from the year 2009 where he was visiting Tommerup. Wendy Graham CO, USA
Wendy is the other caller form US. Wendy describe herself as "dance maniac” who serves up delicious and nutritious dance for all with an infectious enthusiasm and a smile. Wendy help run Durango's contra dance, and two dance weekends: FolkMADness (New Mexico) and Stellar Days & Nights (Colorado). Wendy has worked wit both Nils, Elixir and English Contra Dance Band. Stig Malmø. DK
Stig is an experienced caller, many of you know him well. Stig has for many ears studied and collected singing squares, and he has a huge library of dance music. Stig is a great caller, and he will be calling Friday at the evening dance, and in a workshop with singing squares Sunday morning.

Frede Olsen. DK
Frede is the chairman of the Tommerup event. In honour of the anniversary he will be one of the callers Friday evening. He says: I have been a caller since 1988, where I and my wife Margit started traditional square dance in Vissenbjerg as the fist dance on Fyn. In the past years I have enjoyed to dance, make workshops and to be the organiser of many arrangements. I look forward to start Friday together with Stig, Elixir and EDBC.

English Contra Dance Band. UK
The English Contra Dance Band is becoming better and better every time we listen to them. Linda really knows how to play a fiddle. She is an enchanting fiddle player. Gareth on the piano supports the tunes in beat and harmony in an excellent way. Together they make a fantastic performance. Se more:

Elixir. USA
Elixir is Ethan, Jesse, Anna, Owen, and Nils on trombone. Elixir is much more than 5 musicians. They are a fantastic band with a huge repertoire. You could listen for weeks, but we have only this weekend. We welcome the band to Denmark, and we are sure we get an extraordinary experience. While they stay in Denmark they do concerts and dance evenings, so you will have the possibility to hear them live. Se more:
